Friends of WPL Meeting and Origami Folded Square Packet program

The Friends of Winfield Public Library will hold their August meeting at 7:00pm on Monday, August 14.  All are welcome to attend!  After updates from library staff and the Friends board, special guest and local artist Anette Long will lead a hands-on program.

Annette has been painting for 40 years and has traveled the US teaching classes in her painting style.  She enjoys working with many art forms and has recently been working with book folding and origami.  At the Friends meeting, she will be teaching an origami folded square packet. Participants will learn to decorate and fold a packet that can be used for various things – hold a small gift, be the note on a gift, even store seeds from your garden to share with friends.
