Afternoon Book Club

Our book clubs are reading - and chatting - their way through the 2023 Reading Challenge.  Join us for a discussion on our "book with illustrations" selection for August.  The debut graphic novel by Thi Bui, The Best We Could Do is an intimate look at one family’s journey from their war-torn home in Vietnam to their new lives in America.  With haunting, poetic writing and breathtaking art, Bui examines the strength of family, the importance of identity, and the meaning of home.  Copies are available to check out at the front desk.
