AARP Smart Driver Course

The Winfield Public Library is offering an AARP Smart Driver Course on Wednesday, October 9^th from 1:00pm-5:00pm.  This course is open to anyone with a valid Kansas driver’s license.  Those who participate will receive a certificate to present to their auto insurance company for a possible discount – however, participants are required to attend the entire 4 hours of the course in order to receive the certificate.  The cost of the course is $15.00 for AARP members and $20 for non-AARP members with payment due the day of class. The class is limited to 30 participants, and registration is required.   Registration can be made by calling the Winfield Public Library, (620) 221-4470 or stopping by the library’s circulation desk. 

Many topics will be covered including defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, and new traffic laws and rules of the road.  There is no test to pass, you simply need to sign up, attend and learn.  A course manual will be given to those enrolled.
