Youth, grades 4-8, have an opportunity to tackle the Winfield Public Library’s Reading Challenge together!
For the month of November, our club members collectively chose a book by its cover. Upon looking at a variety of books in the fiction section, "A Whole Nother Story" as told by Dr. Cuthbert Soup emerged as an intriguing book jacket. "What about this one?" Ms. Jo asked the group. Amidst agreeable nods from members, a voice said, "You can't go wrong with sock puppets and robbers." We read the back of the book jacket which included "three attractive, polite, relatively odor-free children," "a psychic hairless dog," "secret agents, superspies, and villains," "and, of course, a sock puppet named Steve," and the group decided this our book for November!
We welcome anyone to read this humorous book - many copies are available at the library (and ANY AGE may check out and read it). Grades 4-8, we hope you'll join us for the book discussion on Monday, Nov. 21 at 4:15pm!
