The Kansas 250 Author Talk series is a live-streamed program featuring Kansas authors and subjects. Winfield Public Library will host a viewing party for November’s event featuring Dr. Jay Antle on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided as Dr. Antle discusses how the Dust Bowl reshaped Kansas, the people who lived through it, and the land itself.
Dr. Antle's passion for the environment was sparked during a transformative field course in Yellowstone National Park. He earned his Ph.D. in American Environmental History from the University of Kansas and has taught at Johnson County Community College since 2000 where he is also the Executive Director of the Sustainability Center.
