Description

Dr. Heidi Mehl with The Nature Conservancy will present about regenerative agriculture practices and how her organization is partnering with farmers and ranchers to improve agricultural resiliency, water quality, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration.

 

Dr. Mehl is the director of Water and Agriculture Programs at the Nature Conservancy in Kansas. She has been researching water issues in Kansas and abroad since her undergraduate years at the University of Kansas. After receiving her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Kansas, she received her Ph.D. from the Department of Geography at Kansas State University, with a focus on fluvial geomorphology, nutrient cycling in riparian zones, water management and access to water resources.
