Galaxy Paint Night

Join WHS art teacher Carlyn Apley for an evening of celestial creativity. Using the paint pouring method, participants will create a swirling, galaxy-inspired painting on an 8x10 canvas panel.

Galaxy Paint Night is part of WPL's "Written in the Stars" programming. An initiative of Humanities Kansas, "Written in the Stars" is a chapbook featuring 10 poems that reflect upon the stars and planets of the Kansas night sky with original illustrations by Matthew Willie Garcia. 

Individual copies of "Written in the Stars" are available free to Kansans. One copy per household, while supplies last. "Written in the Stars" is made possible by the Friends of Humanities Kansas, the Sunflower Foundation, Kansas Tourism, and the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
