Description

A selection of paintings by celebrated Winfield artist Sue Jean Covacevich will be on display at Winfield Public Library.  The exhibit is prepared by the USD 465 Foundation and USD 465 Art Collection Committee.

In 2020, Teresa Grana, daughter of Sue Jean Covacevich, made a gift of twenty-one Covacevich paintings to the USD 465 school art collection, now managed by the USD 465 Foundation.  The range of subject matter reflects years of international living and travel during which Covacevich produced a large number of paintings.  She visited India, Russia, Israel, Jordan, Rome, and lived for a decade in Mexico, reflecting the environments in her art.

A program and reception explaining the gift and celebrating the art of Covacevich will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00am.
