The Bookn’ with Friends book club invites you to jump into WPL’s 2023 Reading Challenge with January’s book selection Defending Jacob by William Landay.  Copies of the book are available to check out at the front desk, and all are welcome to join the book discussion on Monday, January 30 at 6:30pm. 

Chosen to meet the January 2023 Reading Challenge topic of a suspense or thriller book, Defending Jacob is a gripping legal thriller, a New York Times bestseller, and the basis of the 2020 Emmy-nominated miniseries of the same name.  Published in 2012, it has a 4 star rating on goodreads, and has been described as smart, spellbinding, suspenseful, complex and gripping.
