Description
The Friends of the Winfield Public Library will hold their annual book sale August 25, 26, and 27 at the Winfield Public Library, 605 College St.
The 3-day format includes a members-only preview sale, one day of public sale, and a “bag sale.”
On Friday, August 25 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm a preview sale will be open to all current members of the Friends of the Winfield Public Library. Memberships may be purchased at the door for $10 or $20 for a family membership.
“One perk of being a member of the Friends group is early access to the sale,” said Janet Schoentrup, Friends board president. “We also have a small treat for all Friends members who attend the sale on Friday.”
The sale will then open to the public on Saturday, August 26 from 9:00am to 2:00pm and Sunday, August 27 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Sunday is “bag sale” day, where community members can fill a bag for a flat fee.
All proceeds from the Friends of the Library book sale are returned to the library to support special projects. The Friends of the Winfield Public Library supports activities such as the Summer Reading Program and the Discovery exhibits. For those who believe in literacy programs, love the library and wish to support strong community, membership in The Friends is a great way to show support. For further information about the sale or about becoming a Friends member, contact WPL at 620-221-4470.
