Description

Join us in the afternoon when we discuss Stardust by Neil Gaiman. If you have not yet read a Gaiman novel, it's always a pleasure. Stardust was made into a 2007 movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, Claire Danes, and Sienna Miller and, therefore, meets WPL's 2021 Reading Challenge!  Books are available for pick-up 1 month prior to the discussion.  Stardust is 248 pages with 4 stars on goodreads.

We'll meet outside at the Rotary Pavilion at Island Park!  BYOC (bring your own chair) or use the picnic table benches. We'll spread out and enjoy an in-person conversation ... finally:) Please register below so that we can send you updates on our planning.

Book Synopsis:

An enchanting fairy tale by master storyteller Neil Gaiman, full of unexpected adventures, true love, whimsy, wonder, and plenty of magic.

Tristran Thorn will do anything to win the cold heart of beautiful Victoria Forester—even fetch her the star they watch fall from the night sky. But to do so, he must enter the unexplored lands on the other side of the ancient wall that gives their tiny village its name. Beyond that stone barrier, Tristran learns, lies Faerie...and the most exhilarating adventure of the young man's life.

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman comes a tale of the dark and miraculous—a quest for true love and the utterly impossible.
